G-Star RAW and director Dexter Navy join forces for the new Fall / Winter 2018 campaign: Uniform Of The Free. G-Star RAW goes back to the origins of denim as workwear and pays homage to its history as a favorite garment of free spirits. The FW18 collection is a creative and colorful reinterpretation of traditional workwear in combination with a classic G-Star RAW principle: Dedication to denim and innovation.
G-Star RAW was founded in 1989 and after all these years it still follows its 'Just the Product' philosophy. Thanks to that dedication to quality and progress, G-Star RAW is a leader in the denim industry. Sustainability is anchored in the clothing brand's DNA. Developing sustainable solutions is therefore a must for G-Star RAW.
G-Star RAW is taking this quest for sustainability more than ever into the new FW18 collection, Uniform Of The Free. She was inspired by traditional denim workwear such as Western influences, vintage racing suits and courier uniforms. The classic blueprints were contrasted with striking colors and new, high-quality materials for the occasion. More than ever, sustainable innovation is an important part of this. For example, the collection used Dock denim, a new colored denim fabric for the RD G-Star Elwood Jeans and its workwear variant Faroes Jeans. The fabric combines sustainable fibers with environmentally friendly dyes from Achroma®, which means that 54% less water, 65% less energy, 69% less CO2 and 48% less chemicals are used compared to the standard dyeing process. Uniform Of The Free: Freedom should never be an understatement.
