The presence every year giving on both Amsterdam and Antwerp Gay Pride is of course a pleasure in itself. We will continue to do that, of course. But for those who would like to go a little further, we are looking for the best international Gay Prides. Under the motto you only live once we cross borders!
Miami Beach Gay Pride
Miami is of course something that is high on our bucket lists state. We have never been fond of sun, sea and beach. But on the Miami Beach Gay Pride all our favorites are combined. Dream away; 2 days of partying with a sun on your head, a cocktail in your left hand, your phone in your right hand, because the home front has to
receive jealous selfies. Music comes from three different stages, famous artists provide ear gas and did we mention the beach? The parade starts on Saturday 9 April at noon and before that the entire Ocean Drive up to the Art Deco District will be closed for the parade. The Pride is on 9 and 10 April, but if you want to expand your Miami Beach Gay Pride, you do so with the Celebrity X Cruise. From 10 to 14 April you travel from Miami to Nassau, to the private island of Coco Cay and Key West. Well, if you are there anyway!

NYC Pride
It is perhaps the largest Pride in the world, with the richest history. The annual March is at least impressive. The history facts at a glance: what was started in 1969 by the Stonewall Riots, and also the beginning of the fight for LGBT rights, was continued in 1970 as a protest march for all civil rights, and in 1979 the goal shifted back to LGBT rights, to memory of Harvey Milk, the fight against AIDS and in memory of everyone we have lost to this disease and senseless violence. In 2016 was the largest march ever with no fewer than 350 participating organizations and 80 parade cars! From 16 to 25 June you can enjoy, among other things rooftop party, family day, out cinema, dance on the pier and much more. Need we say more?

Sitges Pride
Just south of Barcelona you will find Sitges, a town on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. From Thursday 8 to Monday 12 June, the entire city will turn pink! The highlight is of course the parade itself on Sunday 11 June. As the president of Sitges Pride himself says: There are a lot of Gay Prides in the world, but only one is next to the Mediteranian Sea! All records were broken in 2016. No fewer than 60,000 partygoers attended the pride. This year promises to be even bigger. Visiting the pride is of course free, but for 199 euros you can buy a VIP PASS and get backstage access. Naturally, you also conquer a place on one of the parade cars! After the parade you will of course go to the famous Inferno Party!

Tel Aviv Pride
From 4 to 10 June it is Tel Aviv's turn to defend the title of best Pride. The Pride itself is on 9 June and is followed by several legendary after parties. The Tel Aviv Pride is no small Pride, in 2016 it was even one of the largest in the world! Every year over 200,000 supporters from the LGBT community visit the city to attend the parties, shows and parade. It is therefore no coincidence that Tel Eviv is one of the most gay friendly cities in the world. In 2014, the after-Pride Parties moved to Charles Clore Park because they could no longer handle the large crowds on the beach.

Madrid World Gay Pride
From this year the Madrid Pride can call itself World Pride! Every year visited by more than 1.5 million partygoers, we can rightly do that grande party to mention! This year is also the 40th anniversary of all prides in Spain, so the organization promises to unpack extra! The street parties are visited by 300,000 people. The pride is from June 23 to July 2 and on Saturday the parade can be admired throughout the center. Madrid is known for its gay nightlife and the gay heart can be found in Chueca, a popular neighborhood. We therefore advise you to book a hotel this week! After the parade there is a huge party in the Lago Park every year. Be there!
